Kerimaa – an ideal fishing tourism destination

Kerimaa Holiday Centre features its very own salmon pond named “Kannantakainen” that covers an area of almost one hectare. The lake has a large natural fish population alongside cultivated species that include trout, char, rainbow trout, whitefish and grayling. Kannantakainen is meant primarily for fly fishing. In wintertime golf & ice fishing competitions and other special ice fishing events are held on the frozen lake.

Kerimaa Holiday Centre is bordered by the bountiful fishing waters of Lake Sylkynjärvi, where visitors can fish with a rod, cast nets and lay fish traps. Visitors can also join a guided fishing cruise on the waters of Puruvesi, which forms part of Lake Saimaa and is one of the best fishing lakes in Finland. ATV fishing safaris on the small lakes in the nearby Huosio wilderness area are also arranged from Kerimaa Holiday Centre.
Kerimaa Holiday Centre features a restaurant, holiday cottages, 3 miniature hotels, lakeside saunas, an 18-hole golf course, boats, canoes and ATVs, as well as groomed cross-country skiing trails, a 5-kilometre tour skating trail and sledding hill for children in wintertime.
